Couples Therapy

One of the most important elements in many people’s life is the experience of being in a committed, supportive, and affectionate relationship – an intimate partnership intended to be a solid foundation on which life is shared. While conflict is a part of every relationship, how that conflict is resolved is a significant part of the health of the couple. What might start out as a very loving and understanding communication pattern can over time turn into more frequent and increasingly heated arguments – and the behavioral changes that occur with those patterns can eat away at the intimacy, emotional connection, and respect that the relationship once stood on.

I’m currently practicing at a group private practice – Martin Counseling, PLLC in Katy, TX and I’m available to offer couples therapy in a safe and encouraging environment to address the concerns and issues you and your partner are working through. Couples therapy is a bit different than individual’s therapy because the focus of our sessions will be on the dynamic between you and your partner. We will work together to identify the specific hot spots in your relationship and will develop a plan that utilizes individualized techniques designed to help improve communication, intimacy, affection, and respect.

I know taking that first step can be intimidating for some and it is often the unknown that is preventing couples from reaching out. Here is what you can expect with me during couples therapy…

Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns!
